Clematis Josephine #3

This is currently my favorite Clematis.  By time all the petals unfold, it looks like a pom-pom.  This was taken at the Allen County Extension Office.  They have a wide variety of clematis and I look forward to them blooming every year.

Dahlia Burst

Often when I take pictures of flowers, I can't avoid distracting things in the background. I really loved this Dahlia, but there was no way I could get a picture of it without something I didn't want in the background.  A lot of times I will put in a new background, usually black but sometimes a gradient background.  I really wanted something different and decided to play with some of the filters in photoshop.  For this one I used the zoom blur.  I really like how it turned out!

Stormy Feathers

I like to do close ups when I can at the zoo.  One of my favorite subjects are feathers.  One day I was taking close up pictures of the feathers on a Wattled Crane.  The crane briefly opened it's wings to stretch and I captured this shot.  Not exactly what I was going after to begin with, but very happy with what I did capture.  The name came because it looked like clouds and rain.
